I was cross-leveled over there the other day and was amazed how much work you guys do at night. Showers, Rec, Laundry (by hand sometimes like a detention), turnouts, count, chow.

And what suprised me the most is this is with only one officer running both pods. That is just insane, the liabilty factor alone is through the roof.

I've worked Days at Buckley and Complex and now Graves at Stiner. And I'm telling you, I would never work Graves at Morey.

You should try working swing shift....I heard that they pull their rec with only ONE officer...and guess what....that officer got ASSAULTED...shocked that something like that would happen with only ONE officer pulling off 80-100 inmates! Good job MOREY UNIT!!!!

Man that's Crazy...I don't know why that yard is so screwed up. I personally know the Captain outside work he is cool dude. He isn't one of these normal pricks that doesn't care about officers. He's a real man's man. And a good guy, so I don't blame him.

Well the captain might be a cool dude outside of work, but he is a prick AT work...not only hated by staff but by inmates as well....and I knew him when he was a CO, and trust me, he is not a man's man....more like a bitches bitch! And what do you mean you don't blame him...blame him for what???? Sounds to me like you are on your knees under the captains desk.....this whole post had NOTHING to do with the captain, and all you could respond with was how great the captain was...hey look guys, the captain has a FAN...hahahaha

Ahhh....still the same pompous arrogant asshole I remember! There was only one staff member pulling off the inmates, and the SGT just happened to be walking by! Although you do not encourage such behavior, from what I hear you do very little to stop it! And I love the comment about "all I had to do was look at an inmate"....what a joke! If that is the case, then for gods sake, put on your superman co cape, work the yard, and solve all the problems that morey unit has...you are a joke as a captain, just as you were as an officer! The fact that you "chased" an officer down that walked off the yard, and in his own words "begged me to come back"....then offered him an operations post in the kitchen, with thursdays, fridays, and saturdays off just shows how well you wear your CAPTAIN BADGE....never mind the memos that people have put in...following policy, and we all know what you will say...there were so many people with excessive call-ins that he was the only qualified officer....bottom line....he is a bitch that walked off the yard...let that trash go and focus on the staff that sweat, and bleed on that yard! Quit begging bitches to come back, and spend less time breaking the HIPPA law and the yard will more than likely be as safe as it was when you wore your Superman Cape in 04, 05, and 95....and remember...bad guys do bad things! And I would love to "find" you at morey, but I am no longer at Lewis you assupmtive bastard!

You know, I think Capt. is right, vista is an ignotant ass (oh wait, that was my little addition but all the same)who doesn't know what he is talking about. Probably left Lewis to go guard the girls because he couldn't hack it. For the record, I heard that he didn't beg him at all. Pretty much told him point blank to get back or else. Oh, and I'm glad the inmates don't like him. Maybe you should reevaluate that statement, as well as, the one about all the staff because not all of us hate him.

So you claim he told the officer that walked off the yard "to get back or else"...Or else what? The bitch already quit, was heading for the parking lot, so what could he have possible threatened him with? NO annual leave....dry-cell watch duty...maybe pulling weeds...HE ALREADY QUIT...the OR ELSE statement doesnt work to people who don't work here...and as far as the inmates not liking him, they won't even report for their jobs when he is on the yard, because they know what a fuck he is...and I didn't leave Lewis to report to Perryville, and I find it sad that you think that the officers that work there "can't hack it"...so many great staff do their jobs with the same professionalism and dedication that "hardasses" like you do at Morey...I just hope there is enough room under the Captains desk for you and 99custom....HAHAHAHA

I have worked Lewis, Eyman, Perryville, and Florence complex, and I have to say that Perryville is the best ran complex out of any of them. For the most part, the staff at Perryville are more professional, experienced, and better to work with hands down, as there are fewer Super CO's to deal with, so I say FUCK LEWIS!

All this bickering back and forth! Hmmm! Seems like there is a lot tension! Well lets' see, Morey is a inmate run unit, Inmates dictate what policy we follow next. Staffing levels suck (They are on all units) I know. But the fact of the matter is staff safety is number one. I thought our safety rules are public first, staff and last inmates. So why are we cross-leveling every single day and not locking down the yard? WHY? WHY? Well maybe u all in admin can tell us that, sitting in the AC offices directing us what to do. ROFL! at that. I see that staff safety is not important to you but it is to me and pretty much everyone else. If you (Administration) had any brains and get out of your AC office and walk your yard instead of looking out the windows and spying, and see what we deal with everyday. I know you all used to be in our shoes, but its not that kind of times anymore. It is 2010 and we are still living in you're world. Stop trying to defend yourself on this website and make changes for the better. I don't really hate anyone I just hate the way you all run the unit. It can have potential but the inmates are dictacting what we do and how we do it. That is not a well put together unit. I know it has to deal with everyone involved including CO's. We need to develope a plan and follow through with it, Stop being a hard ass and be more professional. Focus on staff safety and stop worrying about the cost of a stupid ass styro tray. Its gonna cost you more than you all think if one of us gets assaulted. Give them their recs but feed in housse. Its not asking a lot!!!!!! if you all cooperate with us we probably would do the same with you. Respect is earned not demanded or given. Think about us (Line Staff).

When you make Deputy Warden someday - you can lock your inmates down 24/7. You can deny them rec, and showers. You can feed them on styros morning noon and night.

Just don't ask me to come work at your Unit because I don't want to be anywhere near it when it comes time to open those cell doors.
