It makes sense to me, to stop wasting all of our time by having us read and sign policies that aren't relevant to us, or to force us to sign without the opportunity to read, so that they could come back and wave it at us, saying, "You acknowledged this change in policy so you are in trouble for not abiding by it!" However, that is what bothers me about this policy: We sign a piece of paper saying we'll always know what the new policies are? How about the true story example of a change in uniform policy that is suddenly enforced upon officers who had no idea it changed? Why would they be compelled to keep looking at the policy if they already did once? I think there's a better way to save paper than to potentially throw us under the bus.
