Shawn Grell was sentenced to death for the Dec. 2, 1999 murder of his daughter, Kristen Salem, age 2. On that day, authorities say Grell checked the girl out of a daycare center, bought a gasoline gan, filled it with gas, found a remote place in the desert, then doused his daughter with gasoline and lit her on fire.
